We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- God gave all Scripture to us. Human authors, through the inspiration and presence of His Spirit, wrote His message. The Scriptures are the complete and final revelation of God to man. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:160; Matthew 5:18; Rev 22:18-19; 1 Peter 1:2
We believe that there is one God, Creator of heaven and earth; eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are co-equal and are one God. Each of whom is to be honored and worshiped as God. These three are one; each having exactly the same essence, attributes, and perfections. They are each worthy of the same worship, confidence, and obedience.
- The term "Trinity" while not found in the Scripture, is a word in harmony with Scripture. Thus, we are able to convey to others our understanding of the doctrine of the Trinity. We may speak of the Lord our God, who is One Lord, as a trinity or as one being of three persons and still be scriptural. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. We believe in His miraculous ministry, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven and in His personal return in power and glory.
- The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin. He is true God and true man. He lived His life without sin. During His earthly ministry, Jesus performed many miracles and wonders. Through His shed blood on the cross, He paid the price for our sins, providing redemption and forgiveness for all who believe. Following His death, Jesus Christ arose from the dead and was seen by many during a period of forty days after which, He ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from where He will some day return to establish His Kingdom on earth. We believe that God created man in His image and that man is not the product of an evolutionary process; mankind is sinful in nature and practice, is unable to save himself and faces eternal separation for God.
- God created man in his image to exist forever in fellowship with God. The first man Adam, sinned by willfully disobeying God and introducing death to humanity. Because of Adam’s sin, the fellowship between God and man was broken and mankind was separated from God. Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7, 3:1-24; Mark 7:21-23; Romans 3:10, 23; Ephesians 2:1-3
We believe that the only path for the salvation and restoration of fellowship with God is through regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, repentance from sin, and acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
- Man will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can one be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. John 1:12, 3:3; Romans 6:23, 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit and that His power and gifts are available to all believers today. All believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit whereby the Christian is empowered to live a godly life. We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with initial evidence of speaking with other tongues.
- The Holy Spirit is the Person of the Triune Godhead that provides the Christian with understanding of spiritual truth and provides the power for the believer to walk in obedience to God and His Word. The Holy Spirit also indwells, sanctifies, instructs and seals the believer unto the day of redemption. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues was a normal experience of Christians in the early church. All the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active in the church today and are available to all believers. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (eternal punishment).
- At death, the redeemed pass immediately into the presence of Christ and there remain in joyful fellowship until their bodily resurrection unto life. The unsaved at death descend immediately into Hades where they are kept under punishment until their bodily resurrection unto damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, are immediately united by the Holy Spirit in one spiritual body, the church, of which Christ is the Head. The members of this one spiritual body are directed to associate themselves together with other believers. Acts 2:46-47; I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22-23, 3:6; Colossians 1:18, 3:15; Hebrews 10:25
